Overview
Hot air systems are mainly devised to replace traditional methods of open air sun drying. They are also used in premixing hot air for combustors. Open air sun drying is a concept where the required materials for drying are laid out under direct sun radiation.
Using solar hot air generators, enclosed volumes are circulated with hot air to increase the effectiveness of drying process since constant flow of air in a regulated manner of high temperatures (>65%) can yield better rewards than open drying systems.
The HTVT systems can achieve higher food drying temperature, control airflow and temperature, and keep food protected while drying as well as improve the quality of the produce savings its nutrients, flavor and aroma.
